Tattoos continue to become more and more popular. More and more people feel they are means of conveying their own independence, personality and uniqueness. As a result we are seeing greater variation in both the style and the location of tattoos. It’s up to you to determine exactly what tattoo design works best for you and where it will be positioned on your body. What’s right for you may not be right for someone else. But the result can be exclusive and distinctive to you. One thing to consider is placing your tattoo on your foot. This is a very well-liked location for many. In fact the trend continues to grow. If you are considering a tattoo on the foot, then read on. In this article I present 5 tips about foot tattoos.
1. Having a foot tattoo done can hurt more than other locations. After all, the skin of the foot is very near to the foot bones. As a result there is likely to be more pain. On the flip side, a tattoo on the foot is typically little. As a result the time you’ll be hurting is shorter.
2. It’s important to wear open shoes throughout the time your tattoo is in the process to heal. Fortunately this doesn’t take long. In about 14-to-21 days your foot should be well. If for some reason you must put on a pair of regular shoes during this timeframe then protect yourself. Wear two pairs of socks. Don’t wear the shoes longer than absolutely necessary.
3. At some point your foot tattoo will probably need some minor help. The need for a touch up is much more likely since a tattoo on the foot is presented with a more difficult environment than other tattoos. The result – it’s possible that the tattoo might begin to look blurry and not as clear. Fortunately that can be remedied.
4. It’s fairly simple to hide a tattoo on the foot. This is certainly a huge advantage over other tattoos for some people. For those in a skilled or more professional position there may be concern about exposed tattoos and what they will do to the chances of getting a job, being successful or getting that big promotion. Fortunately this isn’t the case for most of us, but a tattoo on the foot certainly takes away the risk of problems since they can easily be hidden.
5. Foot tattoos are generally well received. In fact some find them to be very appealing and even sexy. While some people may dislike tattoos in general, they generally willingly accept a tattoo on the foot.
